Description:

Cold-Eeze is a homeopathic candy containing zinc gluconate glycine to help reduce the severity and duration of the common cold.

Recommendation:

For maximum effectiveness begin treatment at first sign of cold. Adults- Completely dissolve lozenge in mouth. Do not chew as this reduces absorption of active ingredient. Repeat every 3 to 4 hours as needed. Recommended daily dose is 6 lozenges. To avoid minor upset, do not take on an empty stomach. Do not eat or drink citrus fruits or juices 1/2 hour before & after dissolving lozenge, as this will negate the effect of zinc. Other wise drink plenty of fluids. Children - Toddlers & infants can choke on lozenges & often cannot avoid chewing them. Older children can suck one lozenge every 4 hours. To reduce duration and symptoms of the common cold (cough, sore throat, stuffy nose, sneezing, post-nasal drip, hoarseness). Non-sedating.

The following studies apply only to Cold-Eeze with Zigg (Zinc Gluconate Glycine), the only great tasting lozenge, proven effective in treating a common cold. A randomized, double-blind placebo study with 23mg of ionic zinc in a citrus flavored lozenge, concluded that treatment of a cold with our patented formula within 48 hours of the onset resulted in symptom relief and a 42% reduction in the duration of the common cold. A second, randomized, double-blind placebo study, with only 13.3 mg of ionic zinc in a citrus flavored lozenge, concluded patients starting treatment with our patented formula within 24 hours of the onset, taking an average of 6 lozenges per day, resulted in a 42% reduction in the duration of common cold symptoms.
