Description:
Magnesium Salicylate/Diphenhydramine. Pain Reliever/Nighttime Sleep-Aid. Helps you sleep. Each caplet contains: Magnesium 41 mg.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients (in each Caplet): Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride (25 mg), Magnesium Salicylate Tetrahydrate (580 mg) (Equivalent to 467.2 mg of Anhydrous Magnesium Salicylate). Inactive Ingredients: FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake, Lecithin, Magnesium Stearate, Methylparaben, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Polyethylene Glycol, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Talc, Titanium Dioxide.
Directions:
Drink a full glass of water with each dose. Adults and Children 12 Years of Age or Older: 2 Caplets at bedtime if needed, or as directed by a doctor. Do not give to children under 12 years of age. Store at controlled room temperature 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Protect from moisture.
Indications / Uses:
Temporarily relieves minor back pain accompanied by sleeplessness.
Cautions:
Reye's Syndrome: Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product. When using this product, if changes in behavior with nausea and vomiting occur, consult a doctor because these symptoms could be an early sign of Reye's syndrome, a rare but serious illness. Allergy Alert: Magnesium Salicylate may cause severe allergic reaction which may include hives; facial swelling; asthma (wheezing); shock. Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take magnesium salicylate or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Magnesium salicylate may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer; with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin. Ask a doctor before use if you have trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland; stomach problems (such as heartburn, upset stomach, or stomach pain) that persist or recur; a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis; ulcers or bleeding problems; glaucoma. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers; now taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (blood thinning), diabetes, gout, or arthritis. When using this product avoid alcoholic beverages. Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction occurs. Seek medical help right away; you need to use for pain more than 10 days or for fever more than 3 days; pain or fever persists or gets worse, if new symptoms occur, or if redness or swelling is present. These could be signs of a serious conditions; sleeplessness persists continuously for more than 2 weeks. Insomnia may be a symptom of serious underlying medical illness; ringing in the ears or loss of hearing occurs. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health care professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away. Each caplet is sealed. Do not use if blister or foil is broken.
