Clotrimazole and Betamethasone (kloe-TRIM-a-zole) & (bay-ta-METH-a-sone)
Clotrimazole and Betamethasone is used to treat rash and skin infections.
Drug Mechanism
This drug damages the cell walls and blocks critical enzymes that inhibit fungal growth.
How Taken
Follow your doctors directions with this medicine. Before applying this medicine, you should wash and dry the affected areas. Gently rub this medicine into the affected areas of your skin until evenly distributed. Continue using this medicine for the full course of treatment.
Warnings
If your symptoms Do NOT improve or get worse, contact your doctor.
Avoid contact with your eyes.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects with this medicine are minimal.
If you experience redness, swelling or blistering of the skin, contact your doctor.
Drug Interactions
There are no significant interactions with this medicine. Before starting any new prescription or over-the-counter medications, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Missed Doses
Take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double doses.
If I take too many
Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center.
Pregnant / Nursing
Since this is used topically it is generally safe for use in pregnant women and nursing mothers at prescribed doses. We recommend talking to your doctor before using any medication during your pregnancy or when nursing to discuss the risks versus the benefits.
Storage
Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
